Autumn Cup 2023

Club Captain Arthur Pomeroy summarises the state of the tournament with just one Swiss round and a few round robin catchup games to go;

The Round Robin sections have almost been completed. In the top section, Nic Croad's victory over Anthony Ker in Rd 5 gained him first place ahead of Anthony, while Russell Dive's win over Ollie Archer spoiled the latter's chance of sharing the top result.

In RR2, Edgar Benitez's victory over Cohen Young, who had already won the event, did not change the standings. Second place was shared by 'oldsters' Ian Sellen and Bill Forster.

In RR3, Jack McConnell is leading, but Aidan Malcolm has a catchup game vs. Yigit Saglam that may change the result.

In the Swiss, Kayden Loke has 5/5, but a number of players on 4/5 could catch him if loses in the last round next week.

The Autumn Cup this year features four three round robins, and a Swiss
